The format of IEEE PES ISGT Europe 2012 promotes a profound understanding of smart grid innovations as well as smart grid fundamentals. This is accomplished through a combination of plenary sessions, panel sessions, paper presentation sessions, paper forum sessions, and the sponsorship and exhibition program.
There will be four types of oral sessions. In the paper presentation and paper forum sessions, the papers submitted to the conference and selected by the Technical Program Committees will be presented. Each paper presentation session typically counts six presentations. Each of the six presentation takes up to 12 – 14 minutes, additional 3 – 5 minutes for each presentation are reserved for questions. In paper forum sessions with 12 to 15 papers, each presenter first gives a short impulse talk about 3 – 4 minutes on the contents. Then, individual discussions follow between presenters and the interested parts of the audience at a poster board. The presenters are encouraged to put up on the board a poster.
Invited panel sessions report on selected topics of strong interest. Finally, the tutorials will discuss fundamental issues of critical importance.
