Sunday 14 October, 2012
We would like to invite interested Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. students to take part in the Student Program on Sunday 14 October, 2012. The following activities are offered:
- On Sunday morning, students are invited to visit the Showcase Smart Grid on the European Energy Forum (EUREF) Campus in Berlin Schöneberg. On the area of a former gas storage and industrial site, a new showcase smart grid with distributed wind turbines, PV, electric vehicle rental stations, and many different slow and fast charging stations is being set up. An important part of this project is the grid integration of electric vehicles. This showcase project will be presented and visited, and participants will have the opportunity to drive the electric vehicles. Snacks and drinks are offered.
- On Sunday afternoon, the tutorials starting from 14:00 h can be visited. Topics of the Sunday tutorials are “Network Integration of Electric Vehicles” and “Gas-insulated Lines (GIL)”. Please click here for further information.
- On Sunday evening, from 18:00 h, a student poster presentation and contest as part of the Informal Reception will take place. Students are encouraged to present and discuss their research projects on the poster boards. The students presenting the best posters will be given awards.
Please let us know your interest, availability, and contribution by sending an email to students@ieee-isgt-2012.eu until Tuesday, 9 October, confirming attendance to the (i) Visit of the showcase at EUREF Campus, (ii) Tutorial Sessions and/or (iii) Student Poster Presentation and Contest.
